A seasoned and adaptable designer, with a positive attitude, an inquisitive mind and a wealth of experience, having worked in illustration and design across a wide range of media for over 35 years.

Initially focussing on illustration and print design after my degree in Scientific and Technical Graphics at Falmouth College of Art, I have designed and illustrated for publishers such as Time-Life, Mitchell Beazley, Springer Verlag and Dalton Watson.

My design career slowly drifted into computer graphics, then more specifically into virtual reality, culminating in

becoming a creative (and founding) director of a company designing advanced VR solutions, maelstrom.com,

which operated from our Leicester offices for the last 25 years.

Besides my responsibilities in company development, client, project and budget management, my core skills as a designer of 2D & 3D content expanded to include system design and hardware integration.

Integral to many projects was the design of graphic user interfaces, presentation schematics and illustrations,

as well as copy and scriptwriting.

We also offered design and illustration services outside of our core markets, including website and packaging design,

and I've been responsible for the original design and product photography, as well as all instructional illustrations and copywriting for 100’s of products, as well as producing artwork to brand bibles for clients such as B&Q and Homebase.
